In my opinion, one should try to avoid as much processed food as possible regardless of the salt level. Some salt in the diet is necessary but processed foods with high levels of salt are really bad and not necessary.

Salt and the amount of artificial sugar and sweeteners they put in processed foods are some of the factors contributing to various health issues such as obesity, diabetes and other related conditions.

Read those labels carefully!
